WWE and its wrestlers say thank you to Kairi Sane

Kairi Sane’s time with WWE is done, at least for now. While there will always be what ifs and shoulda beens, the Pirate Princess still had a heck of run.

She’ll forever be in the record books as the winner of the first ever Mae Young Classic. During her time in NXT, Sane won the Women’s title and was voted the 2018 Female & Overall Competitor of the Year. Then, on the main roster, she and Asuka held the Women’s Tag Team championship for six months.

Could it have been more? Sure. But it’s a pretty impressive three years.

It makes it pretty clear lots of people at WWE think highly of her. Which is also something you can tell from rumors the company wants to keep her in the fold in whatever capacity they can. And from the write-up on WWE.com about her thank you messages from after her final appearance on Raw last night (July 27), which closes with:

“WWE sends its best wishes to Kairi Sane as she sets sail on her next voyage!”

Kairi’s also gotten several messages from her fellow performers, expressing their gratitude for the chance to work with her, sending their love, and saying goodbye... at least for now.

Bon voyage, Pirate Princess. Safe sailing until we see you again.
