It’s believed we’ll have a better idea about WWE’s SummerSlam card after Raw tonight (July 27). Some spoiler reports from PWInsider throw a wrench in what many of us were thinking would be the plans for the Red Brand’s women’s division over the next month.
Mike Johnson says that Nia Jax will be on Raw tonight for the first time since June 22. Jax was coming off another loss to Raw Women’s champ Asuka, and took out her frustrations on Charlotte Flair. That was a write-off for Flair so she could take time off to have a procedure done. It was also the last we saw of Nia.
One possible role for Jax could be to write-off another Superstar. Jax and Kairi Sane aren’t strangers, and using the real injuries Sane’s suffered in matches with Nia would definitely get fans’ attention.
A further report from behind Insider’s paywall makes it seem unlikely that’s going to be the role Jax plays tonight, however. There, it’s said that Nia will “take out her aggression” on Shayna Baszler.
I really have no idea how a heel attacking another heel fits into things, or what that means about the future plans for either Asuka or Sasha Banks.
