The circumstances aren’t the best, but this has been a long time coming.
Big E has long been tabbed as a potential singles star, with all the right tools to take a run at the top of the card. He’s a member of The New Day, however, and the group has been adamant about its desire to remain a team for the entirety of their run in WWE. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t special circumstances that could lead to a big singles run, as we saw previously with Kofi Kingston winning the WWE championship at WrestleMania.
There are other circumstances that could lead to as much too: injury.
Xavier Woods is still out injured and it was revealed on SmackDown this week that Kingston will be on the shelf for six weeks as well. That leaves Big E to himself, and WWE is already pushing him as a singles wrestler now.
Let’s hope this is as good as it has the potential to be.
