This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown kicked off with Bayley & Sasha Banks doing what they do and causing strife within the women’s division. This time, apparently because the former has booking power, she decided Nikki Cross or Alexa Bliss can earn a chance at her SmackDown women’s championship next week.
They just have to wrestle each other. Whoever wins gets the title shot.
So they immediately had the match, with Bayley & Banks on commentary, and they actually had one hell of a back-and-forth. Cross was selling a rib injury, and she used that to give her a slight edge at the finish.
There was a spot where the referee called Bliss off to check on Cross, who confirmed she could continue. When Bliss came back in, Cross surprised her with an inside cradle and scored the pinfall.
She did (stole) it!
