Last week’s episode of SmackDown was clearly affected by WWE’s recent outbreak of COVID-19; several key wrestlers did not appear on the card, advertised segments were scrapped, and a good chunk of the show was dedicated to replaying Undertaker’s Boneyard match with AJ Styles from WrestleMania 36.
WWE has announced several segments for tomorrow night’s (July 3) episode of SmackDown, and it looks like they are trying to catch up on the planned segments that were discarded from last week’s show. AJ Styles vs. Drew Gulak for the Intercontinental championship is once again being promoted, while Sheamus and Jeff Hardy will have more fun with yellow liquids when Sheamus offers him a toast.
Finally, Matt Riddle will be in the ring for an exclusive interview with Michael Cole. This seems to support the rumor that the recent sexual assault allegations made against Riddle will not affect his push, otherwise this segment would not be taking place.
Will you be tuning into SmackDown tomorrow night?
