After a spooooooky opening video for WWE’s Horror Show-themed PPV, Big E implored us not to be sour. Which was difficult, considering the intro made us feel like we might die for watching WWE Network on Sun., July 19.
But things got violent quickly in the Tables match for the SmackDown Tag titles, so it was clear enough we’d tuned in to Extreme Rules.

After Big E nearly put Cesaro through that table to retain the belts, the Swiss Superman & his partner Shinsuke Nakamura baited Kofi Kingston into diving head first into another table. It didn’t break, but it rocked the former WWE champ and allowed the heels to take charge for a time.
E thwarted an attempt to put Kofi through some wood, then Nak took too long setting up another table. Kingston flew from the top turnbuckle to the outside, evening the score.

The New Day set one table on top of another, and we saw a number of teases for those. It was a fired up Kofi that ended up crashing through them though. With some help from The Artist, Cesaro powerbombed Kingston through both tables from the top.

It was insane bump, and it gave us new champs. New Day’s eighth reign is over. Cesaro has now held tag gold with Tyson Kidd, Sheamus, and Nakamura.
