Matt Camp hits the expected angles in his Injury Report for the July 15 edition of NXT, selling one of next week’s big matches and what’s likely to be the big Women’s title feud for TakeOver: Not Boston.
Without surprises (unless we count that Camp seems to be hinting that Karrion Kross made Dominik Dijakovic’s life flash before his eyes), let’s appreciate the beauty of the kick Dakota Kai delivered to Io Shirai at the end of the episode.
Kai gets her foot right on Shirai’s face, but I don’t think there’s a ton of force behind it. Io’s selling is what makes it look devastating at real speed. Dakota certainly could have knocked her silly with follow through, but the little hop-step stop and not extending her leg keep it safe.
