Last week, we learned that AJ Styles is not a Paul Heyman Guy.
We’ll have to wait for Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson’s TalkNShopAMania to find out more about whatever led to AJ publicly calling out the former Raw Executive Director as a “bold-faced liar.” But we can tell you right now that Heyman didn’t have heat with everyone in the red brand locker room.
That’s because as he told Kenny McIntosh of Inside The Ropes during a recent chat, Raw Tag champ Montez Ford has nothing but praise and gratitude for Paul E.
“I owe Paul Heyman my freakin’ life, man. I know me, both collectively me and [Angelo] Dawkins owe him pretty much our life. He’s always been there since day one. I remember specifically, the first time we encountered with Paul Heyman - him just giving us a wealth of knowledge. And I remember when we first debuted on Monday Night Raw... he was the first person that came and found us, and talked to us, and just pretty much took us under his wing. There’s so much I could say to describe, but he’s given us a whole bunch of stuff, he’s pretty much been there the whole way, given us a lot of motivation, insight, and you guys know, getting any type of insight from Paul Heyman, it’s golden... I’m privileged to know him and work with him in the time period that we did.”
Street Profits haven’t been around much lately, but that could be because Angelo Dawkins’ wife recently gave birth. Or it could be because of Ford’s dealin with an injury.
Tez doesn’t give McIntosh a detailed answer when asked about the fallout from his bad landing on the WrestleMania 36 go home show, but claims he worked ‘Mania with “broken back.”
Hopefully Ford’s back is doing well, and the Profits push continues with their mentor no longer around for every taping.
