Matt Camp’s NXT Injury Report from the TakeOver: In Your House ‘go home’ episode on June 3 exists for pretty much one reason - to explain how Johnny Gargano can beat Keith Lee for the North American championship on Sunday night.
Gargano’s a Triple Crown champ on the black-and-gold brand, but he’s greatly outsized by the champ. The Limitless One’s also been the hottest act in NXT since the second half of last year, and most fans think he’s either on the verge of a call-up or a run with show’s top belt. To do that he’ll need to drop the strap he has.
By stabbing big Keith in the eye with his car keys and smashing his hand between the ring steps & post, the newly heel Johnny Wrestling gave big Keith a couple of weaknesses he can exploit on June 7.
That’s not the only thing on Camp’s report, though. He’s also got a big Australian there as our latest reminder that Karrion Kross is a bad, bad man.
