That whole thing with Jeff Hardy apparently getting drunk and hitting Elias — causing a bunch of injuries — was all faked, of course. But who was the one who set the devilish plan into motion?
Why it was Sheamus, of course!
Hardy explained during a promo on Friday Night SmackDown this week that he was attacked and, luckily enough, a witness saw the whole thing go down and the guy running out of the car in question had a red hair and red beard.
It was Sheamus all along.
Sheamus responded to this by calling Hardy a “junkie” and they brawled their way into the announcement that they’ll settle their differences in a singles match at the upcoming Backlash pay-per-view on June 14, 2020, from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Here’s the updated match card:
- Edge vs. Randy Orton
- Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Bobby Lashley (WWE championship)
- Braun Strowman (c) vs. The Miz & John Morrison (Universal championship)
- Asuka (c) vs. Nia Jax (Raw women’s championship)
- Jeff Hardy vs. Sheamus
