WWE COVID-19 test results all said to be negative thus far

After a trainee who last week worked as an audience member during WWE’s Performance Center tapings was confirmed to have COVID-19, the company announced plans to test wrestlers, production staff, and everyone involved in their television shows. These were the first tests WWE’s conducted since the pandemic started - even after an on-air talent was confirmed with the novel coronavirus after WrestleMania 36.

According to the newest edition of The Wrestler Observer Newsletter, while not all of the results are back yet, all of the ones which have come in have been negative. The hope, obviously, is that WWE dodged a bullet here.

The company hasn’t discussed what their approach to testing will be going forward. Until now, they’ve relied on screening and cleaning. But with a lot of concern about Florida becoming the next big COVID hot spot, it may become necessary for WWE to conduct ongoing tests.

We shall see.
