Two tag title matches advertised for next week’s Raw

One’s been a long time coming, while the other pretty much spoils the result of a match scheduled to take place on NXT tomorrow (June 17).

It took Big Show getting involved (who else was going to level the playing field against Akira Tozawa’s super ninja - 7’ 3” Jordan Omogbehin?), but Street Profits & Viking Raiders will finally put aside the games and wrestle for the Raw Tag titles next week. Who could have predicted the “anything you can do, we can do better” challenge would lead to this?!?!

Don’t get too excited, though. Ninjas are probably busting that up.

Then, after defeating Natalya & Liv Morgan, IIconics crashed Bayley’s birthday promo. Peyton Royce & Billie Kay officially brought the rumors of Sasha Banks & Bayley’s behavior backstage at WrestleMania 35 into kayfabe, and that - and Royce slapping the taste out of The Boss’ mouth - was enough to get the SmackDown Women’s champ to agree to put the WWE Women’s Tag belts on the line next week.

Bay & Sash have a title defense set for this week’s NXT, too. But I’m guessing Tegan Nox & Shotzi Blackheart won’t be on Raw to face the Aussies next week, so... either The Role Model & The Blueprint retain, or IIconics and/or someone else crashes that party, too.

We shall see.

The June 22 Raw was supposed to film today, but the coronavirus booked itself for a run-in. It’s now scheduled to tape tomorrow, which could mean Bayley & Banks wrestle twice on Wednesday.

Interesting times...
