As first reported by Post Wrestling’s John Pollock, and since confirmed by Wrestling Observer & PWInsider, WWE has canceled the Raw & SmackDown taping which had been scheduled to take place at the Performance Center today (June 16). This is due to the confirmed case of COVID-19 among the developmental talent who were present at the NXT taping last Tuesday (June 9).
WWE’s statement on the positive test indicated they’ll now test everyone who’s been at the Performance Center, which will be the first testing the company’s done. Prior to this, their emphasis has been on screening before entry and cleaning during & after facility use.
The current plan is to resume filming tomorrow (Weds., June 16). Next week’s Raw, SmackDown, and 205 Live - which were originally scheduled to be shot today - will be taped, along with NXT.
