Before Edge returned, he responded to rumors of a possible comeback by saying he wasn’t cleared, couldn’t get cleared, and he had an entire life outside of pro wrestling to continue living. He’s wrestled on three WWE pay-per-view shows so far this year (quite possibly the only shows he’ll work due to a torn triceps suffered in the last one).
After his return, the media turned its attention to Edge’s best friend and former tag team partner, Christian. Perhaps an unexpected return from a career ending injury would be in the cards for him as well?
Like Edge, Christian has denied, denied, denied.
Like Edge, he came back for another match.
Even if it wasn’t much of one.
Randy Orton challenged him to an “unsanctioned” match and he accepted. Said match featured Ric Flair trying to talk him out of it before delivering a low blow and walking away. Orton followed that up with his patented punt to the head.
Then he pinned him.
WHAT. JUST. HAPPENED?!
