Extreme Rules is happening somewhere on July 19

During last night’s Backlash PPV, WWE announced that their July event will take place as scheduled.

As has been the case with all the shows announced since the coronavirus pandemic triggered global lockdowns, a location for July 19’s Extreme Rules was not announced. But we did get this straight out of the late 90s logo...

Hopefully this means Jeff Hardy will wear neon face paint and kick Sheamus’ ass. But I digress...

In pre-COVID times, Extreme Rules was supposed to take place in San Jose, California. The SAP Center hasn’t said the PPV won’t take place there, but the smart money is on yet another show from the Performance Center in Orlando.

The only other shows with announced dates on the calendar are the Aug. 22 - 23 TakeOver: Boston and SummerSlam events, but signs point to those not taking place in Boston as planned. There’s been speculation that could mean date changes as well, but nothing official has been said.

In the meantime, ready to get X-Treme?
