Triple Threat tag action kicked off the PPV portion of Backlash on Sun., June 14 at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. One member of each team was legal at a time as Sasha Banks & Bayley defended their championship against Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross and IIconics.
Those were the rules. But the big story was whether the friendship between the titleholders would survive. Bayley Dos Straps has been more than willing to sacrifice The Boss to keep her SmackDown belt... the only one in WWE Banks is eligible for but has never held.
In the ring, the action wasn’t always crisp, but it compensated by moving a mile a minute. We saw a six-woman standoff, creative covers, double team maneuvers, and dive by Royce that left everyone laid out on the floor.
A double-team maneuver @ShinsukeN would appreciate.#WWEBacklash #KneeToFace @SashaBanksWWE @itsBayleyWWE pic.twitter.com/jzqLKDnNyT

Bliss looked to have it won with Twisted Bliss on Peyton, but Sasha swooped in with a roll-up on The Goddess.
If The Role Model and her bestie are going to fall apart, it’ll happen somewhere else on the road to SummerSlam. Or WrestleMania 37.
