WWE’s NXT UK brand has been on hiatus since coronavirus lockdowns went into effect this spring. Their last event was in early March. The last episode of their weekly WWE Network series with new matches debuted on April 2; “best of” clip shows have been running ever since.
The next dates on the calendar were July 24 and 25 in Scotland, but Ticketmaster and the arena have announced those are cancelled.
“NXT UK Live events scheduled to take place on Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25 at Braehead Arena, Glasgow, have been cancelled. Ticketholders will be contacted by their ticket providers shortly.”
Triple H said on his pre-TakeOver: In Your House media call last week that WWE remains committed to the brand and their London Performance Center. Honoring that commitment is proving to be a challenge “under the current circumstances”, however. At this time, the only thing currently on the schedule for NXT UK is TakeOver: Dublin, which was moved from April to October as a result of COVID-19.
