After hitting new lows in pretty much every category last week, SmackDown rebounded on May 8 with the return of Jeff Hardy and the last push for Sunday’s Money in the Bank PPV.
The numbers still aren’t great. While the two hour average viewership got back up over two million (2,039,500), the only times WWE’s drawn a smaller audience on Fox were the previous two Fridays. The rating with 18 - 34 year olds also bounced back from last week’s record low, but SmackDown still isn’t winning the night in the demo.
At least the CBS block which has (amazingly) been tops with younger viewers is headed to re-runs, as MacGyver and Magnum P.I. both aired their season finales last night.
Here’s last night’s network numbers:

We’ll see if fallout from Money in the Bank keeps things moving in a positive direction next week.
