Shotzi Blackheart’s trust fall lands her on the NXT Injury Report

When you’re spitting blood and teeth minutes into your match like Timothy Thatcher was Wednesday night (May 27), it can’t be a surprise to find yourself on the NXT Injury Report.

The man who beat Matt Riddle in the first Fight Pit match leads off Matt Camp’s latest. Shotzi Blackheart closes it, and it’s her condition that seems more worrisome. It was clear at regular speed she overshot the trust fall/coffin drop spot she did during her match with Raquel Gonzalez.

It looks even worse in slow motion. Not much Gonzalez and Dakota Kai could have done there, I don’t think. At least not from where they were positioned when Shotzi launched herself from the middle rope.

Blackheart makes the list with “neck pain”. I imagine her shoulder’s hurting, too. Let’s hope there’s nothing serious causing those aches.

Here’s this week’s video, and a list of what was covered:

  • Timothy Thatcher - Multiple dental fractures; following up with oral surgeon
  • Jake Atlas - Left rib injury; symptoms being monitored
  • Shotzi Blackheart - neck pain; sent for further testing
