The ratings and viewership data are in for this week’s (May 27) NXT and AEW television shows.
Per Showbuzz Daily, Dynamite netted 827,000 viewers for a .32 rating point in the 18-49 demographic. NXT checked in with 731,000 viewers for a .19 rating point in the same 18-49 demo.
For AEW, this is an increase of about 126,000 viewers from the prior week, with a significant rise from last week’s 0.26 demo rating. For NXT, viewership increased by about 139,000 viewers from the prior week, and the demo rating was way up from last week’s 0.13.
AEW moved up from 7th to 4th place in the demo rating for the night, while NXT leaped from 53rd to 24th place.
Numbers for both brands spiked this week. It could be a sign that fans were very interested in NXT’s Fight Pit, as well as AEW’s Double or Nothing fallout. After nearly two months of ratings and viewership being hurt by the coronavirus, both brands put up numbers that resembled something closer to pre-pandemic levels from before April.
