CM Punk is returning to WWE Backstage next week for his monthly appearance on the Fox Sports show. The straight edge superstar hyped up his appearance by taking a page out of the WWE promotional playbook:
This will be....

THE GREATEST EPISODE OF BACKSTAGE EVER.

Considering that Punk’s most recent episode of WWE Backstage was actually pretty darn great, I think there’s a non-zero chance that his claim about next week being The Greatest Episode of Backstage Ever turns out to be true. I can’t say the same thing for Edge vs. Randy Orton at Backlash 2020 potentially being The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever, which seems like a thing that would fail to be true even if the match was repeated one million times.
Another one of Punk’s tweets reminds us that even though he is working alongside current WWE personalities and covering Vince McMahon’s wrestling product on WWE Backstage, he’s still not shy when discussing his injury history there:
Given the shirt and hairstyle, I’d say this is November 2013, which means that light is my soul leaving my body through multiple concussions. Sweet pic!

I bet that topic doesn’t get brought up on WWE Backstage next week.
Will you be tuning into The Greatest Episode of Backstage Ever to see what other jokes Punk might have up his sleeve for the The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever?
