It’s been a week since Shad Gaspard’s death was confirmed. But because of the heroic way it ended and the exemplary way he lived it, people are still talking about the 39 year old wrestler & actor’s life.
Yesterday (May 26) gave us three new celebrations of Shad, starting with this tweet from bodybuilding & Hollywood legend, former Governor of California, and WWE Hall of Famer Arnold Schwarzenegger:
On my bike ride today I stopped to pay respects to Shad Gaspard. He was such a positive force in the gym and the world. He was a hero in bodybuilding, a hero in wrestling, and the moment he told lifeguards to save his son first, the ultimate hero. My thoughts are with his family. pic.twitter.com/Z5PBDSrGOT

As this was the first episode of FS1’s WWE Backstage to air since Gaspard’s body was found, last night’s show also featured tributes of the former Cryme Tyme-r. Dave Bautista’s Instagram video was played:

And host Renee Young got to talk with Kofi Kingston about the Shad he knew, and put a power of positivity spin on the world he left behind:
