If one thing has become clear of late it’s that WWE really, really likes booking Charlotte in high profile matches.
The latest is yet another champion vs. champion showcase, this one against Raw Women’s Champion Asuka on next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. This comes just after Flair lost a triple threat match that would have earned her a match for the title at the upcoming Backlash pay-per-view. That match was won by Nia Jax.
Here’s how WWE is promoting it:
The two Superstars are no strangers to each other, as The Queen once brought Asuka’s vaunted undefeated streak to an end at WrestleMania 34. What will happen when these longtime foes write the latest chapter of their rivalry?
This will also be just six days before Charlotte defends her NXT title at TakeOver: In Your House. It’s at least possible, then, she’ll go into that on a three match losing streak.
