Once Damian Priest was revealed as the “mystery attacker” who took out Finn Bálor before his scheduled match with Velveteen Dream, we all knew this was coming. It was just a matter of when.
WWE confirmed it will be at TakeOver: In Your House during Priest’s appearance on this morning’s Pat McAfee Show.

McAfee’s enthusiastic sell aside, the Priest vs. Prinxe feud hasn’t exactly set the WWE Universe aflame with excitement. Probably because the Archer of Infamy’s been used to give impressive wins to other guys moving up the card a few times too often in his NXT career already.
But it’s an audible brought about by the inability to the WALTER/Bálor program they were clearly building to before the pandemic. The news that Matt Riddle isn’t long for the black-and-gold brand may have also opened up a TakeOver spot; otherwise Finn vs. Damian might be a TV match.
No matter, it’s what we’re getting. This joins Karrion Kross vs. Tommaso Ciampa and the Charlotte Flair/Io Shirai/Rhea Ripley Women’s title Triple Threat as official matches for Sun., June 7 on WWE Network.
Thoughts?
