Apollo Crews was on his way to a Money in the Bank ladder match a month ago when he was suddenly written out with an injury during a match against United States Champion Andrade. That made room for AJ Styles, but what would it mean for Crews, who was finally starting to look like a newer, more interesting version of himself?
As it turned out, just a short vacation and a title shot upon his return.

That shot happened on Monday Night Raw this week, where he managed to defeat Andrade to win the United States title after a standing moonsault. It is his first title since he joined WWE all the way back in 2014.
After, he cut an emotional promo looking back at his journey to get here and the fact that no one believed in him. But he’s here now, finally a champion.
