She’ll defend her NXT Women’s title against them at TakeOver: In Your House on June 7. So it’s not surprising Charlotte Flair will compete against Io Shirai & Rhea Ripley in tag action in the lead up to that match on WWE Network.
But in case you haven’t noticed, Flair’s kind of been everywhere lately. So we couldn’t resist making a joke about the company announcing her for yet another television match.
Per General Manager @RealKingRegal, @RheaRipley_WWE & @shirai_io will team up against #WWENXT #WomensChampion @MsCharlotteWWE and a partner of her choosing this Wednesday on @WWENXT! https://t.co/1xqsjes37Y

The Queen’s presence on Wednesday nights was always rumored to be a ploy for ratings. The gambit hasn’t paid off yet, but maybe it will when played in tandem with the always popular MYSTERY PARTNER angle.
After losing to SmackDown Women’s champ Bayley last night (May 22), Flair heads to Raw on Monday to face Nia Jax & Natalya in a #1 contender match. Then it’s on to the black-and-gold show. And probably something else for the May 29 SmackDown, but maybe her streak will finally be broken (Flair’s been on the last four WWE televisions).
Charlotte Three Shows & ??? vs. Ripley & Shirai joins NXT champ Adam Cole negotiating with General Manager William Regal about Velveteen Dream’s status as #1 contender, Matt Riddle & Timothy Thatcher in a Kurt Angle-refereed cage fight, and Drake Maverick vs. Kushida vs. Jake Atlas in a Triple Threat to determine who will challenge El Hijo del Fantasma for the Interim Cruiserweight belt.
