Number one contender match set for Raw next week

Can’t get enough of Charlotte in featured matches?

Boy, do I have some good news for you!

WWE announced this evening that Flair, the current NXT women’s champion, will be heading back to Monday Night Raw next week to wrestle in a triple threat number one contender match against Nia Jax and Natalya. The winner earns a shot at Asuka and the Raw women’s championship at Backlash on June 14.

Of course, it seems unlikely Flair will win. She’s coming off a loss to Bayley, has a lot going on in NXT, including a title match on June 7, and, well, just doesn’t make sense as Asuka’s next challenger. Neither does Natalya, who is also coming off a loss.

But Jax, meanwhile, has already gone after both the champ and her tag team partner, Kairi Sane. This match seems perfectly set up to get Jax a win to earn the shot while also involving Charlotte without directly beating her again.
