Apollo Crews gets to try and finish what he started

Apollo Crews was on a heck of a roll back in April, but that roll stopped when he suffered a knee injury while challenging Andrade for the United States championship on April 27. Not only was that match stopped, but Apollo was pulled from the “Climb the Corporate Ladder” Money in the Bank match he’d won a spot in the week before.

We’ll never know what might have been with Crews and the battle for the briefcase. I’m guessing he might not have been quite as butterfingers-y as his replacement, AJ Styles. But then we might have been deprived of more Otis on Friday nights... and it’s probably best to just not play out this butterfly effect thought exercise.

We might get to find out what might have been in his fight with Andrade for the red, white and blue belt. Crews is getting another shot next week. Hopefully he brings his new friend Kevin Owens, because Zelina Vega is not happy to see Apollo back in the U.S. title picture.

Will we see a title change next Monday? Or will Zelina and/or Angel Garza ensure the strap stays with El Ídolo?
