Edge vs. Randy Orton official for Backlash

@WWE

WWE is really doubling down on its promotional tactic for Randy Orton vs. Edge at the upcoming WWE Backlash pay-per-view on June 14 at the Performance Center: that it could be “the greatest wrestling match ever.”

Monday Night Raw last week closed with Charly Caruso uttering that line, and Monday Night Raw this week opened with it.

Of course, they left last week open ended, like it would at least be possible Edge wouldn’t accept Orton’s challenge for a straight up wrestling match at the next event. That’s what led to the two having a back-and-forth in the ring this week, where Edge did accept.

It’s official.

The talking points are largely the same: Orton calling himself the more naturally talented of the two, and Edge claiming he has the advantage because, well, he actually had to fight for everything, including even being able to wrestle in this match.

Should be fun!

So far, this is the only match official for the Backlash event.
