Rusev reacts to his WWE release by saying he’s just getting started

Rusev hasn’t said much since being released by WWE last month, but he did field some fan questions on Twitter today.

The most reassuring response came when a fan wished him the best in whatever he does next.

That doesn’t sound like a man who plans to reduce his presence in the pro wrestling industry.

He also said that it’s time to move on from his Bulgarian Brute moniker:

And don’t you dare insult this man by calling him the GOAT:

At the end of the day, he’s just a guy who’s planning to live his best life:

Rusev went about three years without winning a match on WWE pay-per-view, and his extremely popular Rusev Day act never had a run with the tag titles. The point is, even though Rusev was featured on WWE television for more than six years and had some great moments, there’s still a lot of untapped potential there, and better days lie ahead. It’s exciting to think about what creative ideas Rusev will come up with in his next pro wrestling venture, freed from the restrictions of WWE.
