The saga of Bayley and Sasha Banks’ friendship was the real focus of the former’s SmackDown women’s title defense against Tamina Snuka at tonight’s (Sun., May 10, 2020) WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. After all, it was Bayley who offered up a title shot if Tamina could defeat Banks, which happened. There’s been tension, or at least the tease of it.
So what would happen come match time?
They were given a lot of time — like, a shocking amount of time, considering — and went back-and-forth until it looked like Tamina was about to score the win with a superkick. That’s when Sasha jumped into the ring to ensure Snuka couldn’t pin Bayley. A game of cat-and-mouse ensued and it ended in Bayley scoring a pinfall via rollup.
And still your SmackDown women’s champion.
But, perhaps more importantly, still best friends with Sasha Banks.
