Rhea Ripley’s work visa expired, per report

WWE.com

According to PW Insider, Rhea Ripley’s work visa has expired and she has returned to Australia, where she will need to get it renewed. Considering the coronavirus pandemic, it’s unclear when exactly she’ll be able to make it back to resume working for WWE in NXT.

It’s also unclear if that’s why she dropped the NXT women’s championship to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36 but one would think it to be the case. WWE is planning on resuming tapings for upcoming episodes of Raw, SmackDown, and NXT at the Performance Center in just a matter of days, tapings that would span a number of weeks, and Ripley obviously won’t be able to attend said tapings.

Flair has said she hopes to work all three brands.

Ripley is one of the brightest young stars on the WWE roster. The hope is this can be resolved sooner rather than later, but we are in an unprecedented time.
