Bayley thinks she & Sasha Banks can keep their storyline going until WrestleMania 37

It looks like WWE is building toward a match between Sasha Banks and Bayley again. Unless they aren’t... they’ve certainly strung along fans who want to see a sequel to their NXT feud before.

But let’s say they are finally giving the two Horsewomen the green light to work together as something other than tag partners and allies. That’s certainly the premise Justin Barrasso was operating under when he interviewed Bayley for Sports Illustrated recently.

Barrasso asked if the former Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection could do a year long build for a match at WrestleMania 37, a la John Cena & The Rock. Bayley acknowledged that it wouldn’t be easy, but thinks she and Banks could pull it off...

“I think we can. We’ve bounced ideas off each other for as long as we’ve known each other, and we learn from each other so much. With all of our ideas and how much we are trusted by the people backstage, I think it’s possible. It would be challenging, but I think that would be so cool.

Someday, I hope we do get to work together again. She’s my favorite person to be in the ring with, obviously, so I would be down to try.”

SummerSlam in Boston seemed like a logical place for a showdown between Sasha & Bayley, but some of the appeal may fade away if that becomes an empty arena show.

Would WWE let them slow burn all the way to (hopefully) Southern California next spring?
