It’s been a few years now since Jinder Mahal was a WWE champion and featured prominently on television. It’s been nearly a year since he was even seen on TV at all, what with a knee injury that kept him out of action for all that time. I legitimately forgot he was even on the roster.
I was reminded during Monday Night Raw this week when he made his return for a match against Akira Tozawa.
It was basically a squash.
He's a former #WWEChampion. He's the #ModernDayMaharaja.

Tozawa offered little resistance, and commentary leaned heavily into the fact that Mahal is a former WWE champion. It was so heavy, in fact, that one might think he’s in for a big push. Considering who is currently on top on Raw right now, it’s not hard to imagine where this could be going.
That’s all just speculation, though ... for now.
