At the end of 2019, just before he briefly returned as an active wrestler, Samoa Joe was a hit at the Raw announce desk.
He’s said to still be awaiting clearance from his second concussion of 2020, and it sounds like WWE will again use him for commentary while he’s unable to wrestle. That’s according to WWE Backstage’s Ryan Satin, who reports Joe was at the Performance Center in Orlando today (April 27) and worked as part of the announce team for one or both of the Raw episodes being filmed.
Satin wasn’t sure if Joe will replace someone WWE has been using on Monday nights (a three-man booth of Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton & Jerry Lawler) or if this episode or episodes will have a four-person desk.
Join us in our Raw live blog tonight and we’ll find out together (if he’s on this week’s episode, that is).
And let us know if you’re excited to hear Joe on Monday nights again in the comments below.
