Back in 2017, in the aftermath of her Raw Women’s title run, Bayley was the focus of one of the most critically reviled segments in modern history.
Our Raw reviewer at the time (some dude named Geno?) called Alexa Bliss’ mocking “This Is Your Life” presentation an “abomination of a segment and, in fact, there’s an argument to be made that it’s one of the worst in the history of the show.”
To see the entire trainwreck, you’ll have to get on Hulu or WWE Network. Because even the company’s YouTube folks cut the “highlight” to just the final brawl...
Why do I bring this up now? Well, because Vince McMahon himself brought it up on SmackDown last night (April 24).
While roasting his son-in-law during Triple H’s 25th Anniversary celebration, the boss said (emphasis mine):
“It’s not all bad, because I would liken your performance maybe to like, uh... I know! ‘Bayley, This Is Your Life!’ Remember that one? That was crickets. Wasn’t Bayley’s fault by the way, but nonetheless.”
Seems Sasha Banks isn’t Vinnie Mac’s only favorite. The Role Model appreciates his patronage, too.
Thank you, Vince! IT WASN’T MY FAULT #SmackDownOnFox https://t.co/WXiiRhFmCz

Neither Bayley or any of us will ever get those 13 minutes of our lives back, or however many were dedicated to the kendo stick on a pole match that followed at Extreme Rules.
But hey, it’s something.
I mean, Vince didn’t pardon anyone involved in the other horrible bits of the past he brought up last night, like the Gobbledy Gooker or Katie Vick.
Gee, I wonder who the common denominator behind all those segments was...
