A heinous attack and some royal condescension on April 22 added heat to two matches booked for next week’s edition of NXT.
Charlotte Flair’s first defense of her second reign with the black-and-gold brand’s Women’s title is reserved for Io Shirai. But Flair’s been wanting to go again with the wrestler she faced in her first WWE match, and Mia Yim is excited to see how much they’ve both grown since 2014. One thing that’d definitely grown is Charlotte’s ego, and after this backhanded compliment, I imagine Mia’s looking forward to showing the Queen what the ‘B’ in HBIC stands for (and I don’t mean “Baddie” or Blasian)...

After learning he’d be getting the North American title shot he’s been seeking, Damian Priest jumped into the main event to gain an upper hand. We’ll see how Keith Lee feels by next Wednesday, but getting hit in the throat with a nightstick was enough to he didn’t feel good enough to second Velveteen Dream against Undisputed ERA this Wednesday.

Both of those matches are a go as of now, along with probably some Cruiserweight title action, and hopefully some updates on what’s up with Finn Bálor, what Karrion Kross’ next move is, and more.
Sound like a plan to you, Cagesiders?
