Looking for retribution for the loss Elias handed him at WrestleMania 36, King Corbin spent two segments beating up the singer/songwriter on last Friday’s SmackDown. You know somebody’s mad when they come back after a commercial break to keep kicking ass.
Not sure why Elias’ injuries took almost a week to diagnose. I guess the local medical facility is busy due to the “prevailing circumstances”. Whatever the reason, WWE informed us of the Drifter’s diagnosis today (April 22) on The Bump. It’s bad... for fans of Elias’ wordplay and soothing voice, anyway.

“As first reported on WWE’s The Bump, Elias suffered a bruised larynx and broken middle and pinky fingers following the latest attack by King Corbin. The injuries have put Elias’ musical performances on hold, as they’ve hampered his ability to sing and play guitar.
King Corbin has targeted the songbird multiple times in the last few weeks, as the most recent attack on Friday Night SmackDown followed his assault ahead of WrestleMania that sent his rival flying from the WWE Performance Center perch.
