The New Day win the SmackDown tag team titles

With The Miz out of WrestleMania 36, John Morrison was forced into defending the SmackDown tag team titles alone against Jimmy Uso and Kofi Kingston. Against the odds, he was successful in keeping the belts with the defending champs.

The Miz could not do the same.

Indeed, on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, The Miz had to wrestle in a triple threat match of his own against Jey Uso and Big E. For a short time, it looked like he was about to do what his partner did, as he had Uso in the Figure Four. Then, E ran in and picked him up straight out of it to deliver the Big Ending.
