WWE doesn’t formally announce releases from NXT the way they do with wrestlers who are let go from Raw and SmackDown. That’s why it’s taken a couple days to learn about two more names that were cut from the black-and-gold brand’s roster this week.
The more well known of the two which came to light this afternoon (Fri., April 17) - via a report from PWInsider - is Taynara Conti. The Brazilian worked WrestleMania 34 as part of the line-up for the Women’s Battle Royal, competed in the 2018 Mae Young Classic, and made multiple appearances on the weekly NXT show. She was also reportedly just involved in a bit of a pay dispute, but returned to the house show circuit after a story circulated about her leaving the company.
The other name is someone who didn’t make it off the Florida house show circuit. Nick Ogarelli (Nick Comoroto) signed in February of last year after training at New Jersey’s Monster Factory. He announced his own release on Twitter.
- Cezar Bononi - the Brazilian was signed in 2015, and has a handful of appearances on television as an enhancement talent. Was voted a “Future Star of NXT” in the 2017 Year-End Awards.
- Mars Wang - signed from China in 2018; has predominantly worked the Florida house show circuit.
- Tino Sabbatelli - a former NFL player (real name Sabatino Piscitelli) who joined the company in 2015, he took part in two Dusty Rhodes Tag Classics with Riddick Moss as part of a 2016-17 mid-card push. He’s been sidelined since tearing a pectoral muscle in 2018.
