Kyle O’Reilly might not be around for a while

WWE.com

Kyle O’Reilly hasn’t wrestled on NXT television since Mar. 11. He has missed every empty arena show that NXT has aired. He was replaced in a tag team championship match on last night’s (Apr. 15) episode, and the commentators said that he was not medically cleared due to injury.

Dave Meltzer explained what’s really going on here on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. He indicated that O’Reilly is too much of a health risk to be working and traveling right now due to being diabetic:

“Kyle O’Reilly wasn’t there because of diabetes, and you know, too much of a high risk. He might not be around for a while.”

Just like with Roman Reigns, it’s important for any wrestlers who have underlying health conditions to stay home during the coronavirus pandemic. The risk just isn’t worth it. We might not get to see O’Reilly in the ring for a while, but it’s because he’s doing the right thing for his health.
