One of the times WWE still treats NXT like its developmental system are when they release wrestlers from the black-and-gold brand’s roster. Unlike talent assigned to Raw and SmackDown, the company doesn’t public announce when NXT Superstars are let go.
Given that 20 people were let go from the so-called main roster today (April 15) as part of WWE’s budget cuts, many of us expected at least a handful of NXT releases.
So far, two have been confirmed by the wrestler’s themselves.
They include Deonna Purrazzo, signed in 2018 after a handful of per-appearance bookings. Purrazzo’s WWE career never really got past the enhancement talent stage, despite experience in Ring of Honor, and TNA prior to signing. Her tweet about being let go makes it sound as if it’s something she’s been hoping would happen.
The people closest to me know this is something I’ve been struggling with wanting for the better part of the last year.

Happy to say I gave this journey my best and MORE excited for the future! ❤️
Aleksandar Jaksic was signed in August of last year. The German wrestler worked in his home country as “LX Ken”, and trained in Canada at Santino Marella’s school. He’s worked the Florida house show circuit, but hasn’t made any television appearances.

Covid-19 has been devastating for me & my family. My brother in law; who was my legal guardian passed away to Covid-19.

Today, Covid-19 stripped me of my dream job. Feels like life is being sucked from me.
Thank you to everyone that has reached out. Be safe and stay strong.
