Travel restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic already forced NXT General Manager William Regal to come up with a creative solution for the brand’s Cruiserweight championship.
They also caused a dilemma when it came to the NXT Tag Team titles. Like Cruiserweight king Jordan Devlin, The BroserWeights’ Pete Dunne is on the other side of the Atlantic. BREAKING
— WWE’s The Bump (@WWETheBump) April 15, 2020
Per @RealKingRegal,
1️⃣ The #BROserweights will find a temporary replacement for @PeteDunneYxB.
2️⃣ @SuperKingofBros will defend the NXT Tag Team Championship with that partner against #UndisputedERA TONIGHT on #WWENXT!! pic.twitter.com/ZCnae8lI4u
Riddle & Dunne took the titles from Undisputed ERA’s Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish at TakeOver: Portland, and won a rematch on the Mar. 11 episode of NXT. But the group who Triple H & team were setting up as BroserWeight’s next challengers (Grizzled Young Veterans) are also in the United Kingdom, and there aren’t really any other heel teams built up for a shot at the straps. So an Undisputed remix team of Fish & Roderick Strong get the call.
Now, let the speculation about Riddle’s MYSTERY PARTNER begin.
I hope it’s North American champ Keith Lee, but maybe it’s the ERA’s current foil Velveteen Dream?
