WWE Elimination Chamber 2020 results: Sami Zayn wins the Intercontinental championship

The idea coming into this match was Braun Strowman being up against the odds, what with his having to defend the Intercontinental championship against three different guys in Shinsuke Nakamura, Cesaro, and Sami Zayn. The thing about that, of course, is no one really believed he would lose the title at Elimination Chamber tonight (Sun., Mar. 8, 2020) at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Which made this that much more interesting.

Zayn has been leading the charge all along here, as the mouthpiece for Nakamura who has done his damnedest to get them over. Here, he spent a lot of time running away while his stablemates did the heavy lifting. When he hit the Helluva Kick, both Shinsuke and Cesaro bailed out and allowed him to pin Strowman to become champion.

That would be his first title on the main roster in WWE.

Surprise!
