WWE Elimination Chamber 2020 results: Shayna Baszler is going to WrestleMania

In the second of two Elimination Chamber matches at the PPV of the same name on Sun., Mar. 8, six women battled for the right to challenge Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s championship at WrestleMania 36.

Asuka, Sarah Logan, Liv Morgan, and presumptive favorite Shayna Baszler started off locked in the structure’s pods. Which meant old foes Ruby Riott and Natalya started us off.

Riott made sure to taunt her former Squad members Morgan & Logan on her way into the Chamber. As established in an interview earlier on the show, Nattie was on a warpath because of what happened to her friend Beth Phoenix on Raw last Monday.

Those two took turns inflicting punishment on one another until Logan entered the fray. She and Ruby battled on top of Liv’s pod, which set up Natalya powerbombing Ruby head-first into the area outside the ring before Sarah crossbodied both of them from atop the pod.

A Tower of Doom spot put all three down when Baszler’s door was buzzed open. It didn’t take The Queen of Spades long to tap out both Riott & Logan with the Kirifuda Clutch. A minute later, she smashed Nat with a pod door, then did the same thing to Nat.

After a delay that mostly featured Asuka screaming in Japanese about her desire to enter the match, Liv entered hot. She got some offense in, but quickly paid the price as The Baszler slowly dismantled her.

Another delay featured more Asuka yelling, this time with lots of Baszler taunting. Eventually we got the match we were supposed to get last Monday. That was a much more balanced affair, and the Empress of Tomorrow even had Shayna in her own submission finisher for a moment.

But by targeting Asuka’s injured wrist, the Queen of Spades made her pass out.

Becky Lynch watched from a monitor in the back, but didn’t enter the arena to meet her WrestleMania opponent.

Maybe tomorrow night.
