WWE accomplished multiple things with its tag team gauntlet match on Friday Night SmackDown this week.
For starters, Heavy Machinery were given the Kofi Kingston treatment from last year, where they, as already over babyfaces, were put over big with a long and unexpected run that culminated in a crushing loss. Otis is a star in the making, and he looked like one here.
Secondly, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode were victorious, giving them the lasty entry spot in the tag team title Elimination Chamber match at the pay-per-view this coming Sunday night in Philadelphia.
Lastly, they beautifully built to the inevitable Otis vs. Ziggler match, probably at WrestleMania 36:

SmackDown was a mostly nothing show this week — basically one good Kevin Nash joke — until this. Well done, WWE.
