Elias vs. King Corbin is still a go for WrestleMania

Phew.

On SmackDown last Friday (Mar. 27), King Corbin attacked his scheduled WrestleMania 36 opponent Elias after a performance. The performance of Elias’ newest song, a Corbin-inspired ditty called “Kingdom of Fools”, took place on a balcony, and the attack sent Elias crashing through an announce table on the floor.

It was the kind of scene that led some to wonder if Elias wasn’t being written off the ‘Mania card.

But never fear, Walk With-ers! WWE.com informs us the troubadour is a-okay, and the match with Corbin is still on...

“After undergoing an extensive evaluation, Elias has escaped serious injury and suffered no broken bones, WWE Digital has learned. Despite King Corbin’s heinous assault on last week’s Friday Night SmackDown, Elias has been recovering at a rehab facility and swears that, somehow, some way, he will compete against Corbin at WrestleMania.”

Thank goodness.

Corbin vs. Elias is one of sixteen matches booked for April 4 & 5.
