Well, if he’s a “wrestling god,” he’s gotta go into the WWE Hall of Fame, right?
During WWE Backstage this week, it was announced that JBL will join the 2020 class of inductees. There were rumors the APA could be going in, but instead he’ll be going in as a singles wrestler the video package called “one of the greatest heels of all time.”

JBL worked much of his career as a mid-level tag team act, where he got over well enough, but he’s perhaps best known for a long run as WWE champion doing the act he more or less maintains to this day, an arrogant millionaire. He would go on to become a Grand Slam champion and, after retiring from in-ring wrestling, a color commentator.
Here’s the current WWE Hall of Fame 2020 class of inductees:
- nWo
- Batista
- The Bella Twins
- JBL
