SmackDown’s numbers down significantly

The novelty of closed set shows seems to have worn off. No John Cena or Goldberg probably didn’t help either, but SmackDown’s numbers for Mar. 27 aren’t pretty regardless of possible explanations.

The blue brand had its worst first hour and average viewership since November. Even more troubling, the show did not win the night ratings-wise for Fox among 18-34 year olds. ABC’s Shark Tank and CBS’ Hawaii Five-O both pulled a better number than WWE’s offering.

Cena and Goldberg are back next week for the WrestleMania 36 go home, which will be another pre-taped episode from the Performance Center.
