Another WWE titleholder said to be off WrestleMania 36 (Updated - SPOILER)

WWE WrestleMania’s Twitter

WrestleMania 36 spoilers are getting out, but not the fun kind.

PWInsider says United States champion Andrade is now off the show, which was taped this week at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando and other locations. He was supposed to team with Angel Garza and challenge Street Profits for the Raw Tag Team belts.

Andrade’s issue isn’t related to the coronavrius pandemic at least (although he did wrestle Rey Mysterio on the Mar. 16 Raw, and Rey is allegedly quarantined for unknown/undisclosed reasons). Insider says El Idolo suffered a rib injury on the Mar. 23 Raw while working with Garza against Ricochet & Cedric Alexander. He was not medically cleared to perform on Weds. & Thurs. when ‘Mania was taped.

In Andrade’s place, a NXT Superstar was partnered with Garza for the match against Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins. But it’s not known who was used.

Yet, anyway. With taping wrapped, more and more information is coming out about the April 4 - 5 broadcasts.

The spoiler-averse should surf the web with caution.

UPDATE (and SPOILER): And there it is. Post Wrestling’s John Pollock says Austin Theory teamed with Angel Garza against Street Profits at the WrestleMania 36 tapings at the Performance Center. Pollock also reports Andrade’s injury is “very minor”, and that an angle on the Mon., Mar. 30 Raw will introduce Theory.

The 22 year old former Evolve champion just lost to Tyler Breeze on the episode of NXT which aired last Weds., Mar. 25.
